2017 NASFM Annual Conference Highlights

NASFM Board of Directors were sworn in.

Feedback by attendees concluded that presentations were up to date and informational.

A good time was had by all at the evening event aboard the USS Yorktown, which included a fire boat display and local food fare.

NASFM President Butch Browning and USFA Deputy Director Denis Onieal shared some one-om-one time at the Conference.

Partner Program

Utah State Fire Marshal, Coy Porter, and his wife Tricia, have come up with some great ideas for the 2018 Partner Program, so make sure to register your spouse, or partner!

Temple Square Visit 

There are a variety of wonderful attractions available on the 35 acres of Temple Square located in Salt Lake City including:

  • Salt Lake Temple
  • Mormon Tabernacle Choir
  • The Beehive House
  • Joseph Smith Memorial Building
Utah Olympic Park

Built for the 2002 Winter Olympics, the 400 acre Utah Olympic Park still serves as a training center for Olympic and development athletes as well as a multitude of activities including:
  • Alf Engen Ski Museum
  • Eccles Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games Museum
  • Discovery Zone
  • Mountain Challenge
  • Hiking and Biking

Things to do

This year the conference opens on a Monday.  For those of you who choose to arrive early and explore the area, or stay after the conference - perhaps enjoying a long weekend - there are numerous places of interest to visit, wonderful dining options, and superb shopping.
