The 33rd Annual Fire Prevention and Safety Symposium will be held July 31st through August 2nd. 2023 at the Hotel Ballast in Wilmington, North Carolina.
President Michael Desrochers and the Board of Directors of National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM) are soliciting presentations for consideration to be presented at the 33rd Annual Fire Prevention & Safety Symposium. This symposium will be held July 30 through August 1, 2023 in Wilmington, NC. The theme for this event is “Leading from the Front”.
In an effort to provide the NASFM membership and all conference attendees with cutting edge educational information that has a focus on emerging issues and futuristic fire prevention and safety practices, the following areas of importance have been identified by the membership of NASFM.
Fire origin and causes / Arson Abatement
Educational Program Development
Codes and Plans Review
Emergency Services / Disaster Response
Community Risk Reduction (CRR)
State Fire Training
Any Trending / Current Events
Submissions will be accepted through November 25, 2022 and should be transmitted in a WORD document, via email to firstname.lastname@example.org . Selected presenters will be responsible for their own travel and expenses, NASFM will provide a one day symposium registration stipend. Please provide the following information with your submission:
Length of presentation (Not to exceed one hour)
Bio of presenter(s)

Review of submissions will be completed, and selections will be made by January 2023.
